Dimensional constraint
The complete vehicle had to remain within 12 meters while keeping the platform height at no more than 1100 mm.
A project with strict dimensional and engineering constraints: overall length not more than 12 m, an 8-ton hydraulic truck-mounted crane, a non-driven auxiliary axle rated for up to 10 t, removable aluminium drop sides and a platform height limit of 1100 mm.

The complete vehicle had to remain within 12 meters while keeping the platform height at no more than 1100 mm.
The configuration included an 8-ton hydraulic truck-mounted crane and a non-driven auxiliary axle rated for up to 10 t while preserving the required overall vehicle geometry.
The key engineering challenge was integrating removable aluminium drop sides with the three-section vehicle-recovery platform. We had not previously fitted drop sides to this type of platform in our projects, so the mounting concept and installation sequence had to be engineered separately.
The actual working-platform height was 1070 mm, below the 1100 mm limit. All other specified technical parameters were achieved and the technical assignment was completed.

The video shows the installation of removable aluminium drop sides on the low-deck three-section vehicle-recovery platform — one of the key engineering tasks of this project.
Send us the task even if the specification is not complete yet. We can help shape a workable configuration and control the project in China through the pre-shipment stage.
